Here’s a picture of the most famous place near where I grew up:
It was fun to think that the roads we rode our bikes on were part of a farm that George Washington owned. We had hoped to have our high school graduation on the grounds of Mt Vernon, with it being the bicentennial year and all. However, our plans were foiled by the French, who donated a light show to be shown in the evenings. Therefore, we only had a window of two hours in which to hold the ceremony, handing out diplomas to almost 500 graduates. We ended up having the ceremony in the school gymnasium.
